We have been on a journey asking God for His insight on what He is creating in inner-city Detroit. I know many of you have been praying for God to move in this city in a unique way.

As you know, we have two facilities in Detroit located near the Wayne State University campus. Central Alliance had completed their fruitful ministry at the beginning of the year, and now we are asking God what the best use of these assets would be in extending His kingdom. He has begun to give us the desires of our hearts, catalyzing us to focus on network building in Detroit and renovating these properties. Although the vision is in its initial stage, we believe God is asking us to step into a multi-faceted ministry expression, focusing on identifying, equipping, and deploying urban emerging leaders through a residential development program.

We would create a Greenhouse environment where emerging leaders will be holistically developed, not merely in their competencies, but also in their spiritual formation. This would also include supporting our international community on campus and in this area of Detroit.

This is where the GLD family comes in. Rev. Brad Setser, lead pastor of Wyandotte Alliance, has volunteered to oversee the first project of renovating the house that is located at 673 Prentis St, Detroit MI. We are in need of work crews to show up at the property over the course of the summer to get it ready to be occupied for the start of the school year at Wayne State University.
